Rhodes – Greece
On my quest to find travel destinations that are easy for amputees, I have found somewhere sensational! The Mitsis Faliraki is a 5 star, all-inclusive resort that has everything you could possibly need within a really walkable distance.

If you book directly with the hotel (definitely recommend as EasyJet flights are so cheap) they provide you with a free transfer to and from the airport… and it’s not just any old taxi, it’s a gorgeous SUV – think the type of thing you’d get to travel to your Primary School prom!

I’d advise you choose a sea-view room as the balcony gets sun throughout the day and the views are just spectacular. Plus the distance from the lifts to all of the sea-view rooms is absolutely fine.
The hotel itself is quite small, which is perfect. The walk to the beach from the pool take less than 1 minute, as does the walk around the pool to the bar and the pancake / ice cream stands. This video gives a good insight into what the hotel has to offer:
Now the cool bit. Faliraki is right on your doorstep. I mean, literally steps away. We walked down the main strip most evenings and took the little train a couple of times if we wanted to go further afield.

So for anyone wanting great nightlife, tacky shops, tons of fast-food eateries, then the location is perfect.

But likewise, anyone wanting traditional Rhodes with gorgeous trips to beautiful bays and old towns then this location is also just as perfect. Peter’s Watersports, located right on the beach at the hotel have so many wonderful trips. We hired a speedboat and visited many of the bays along the coast. Anthony Quinn was my favourite.
I’ve been working so hard recently and had so much on, that this break was exactly what I needed to just relax and refresh, and I will definitely be back. 10/10 for the Mitsis Faliraki!
